What we did
The Merida JIT Collaborative Production Resilience Programme was run by the Corporate Synergy Development Center together with several members of the Merida group, with the aim of using lean methods to build resilience and competitiveness. JINGJIN consultants played a central advisory role, drawing on deep industry experience to help suppliers improve their production processes, eliminate waste and bottlenecks, and trace problems back to their root cause so that progress continues.
Where last year one lead company supported five suppliers, this year the programme extended to nine — a clear measure of how well it has worked. Throughout, we also developed seed personnel inside each company, strengthening their own improvement capability and laying the groundwork for a business that lasts.
